Reiki (pronounced ray-key)is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, and also promotes healing. Reiki was discovered in the 1900's by Dr. Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words; Rei meaning spiritual consciousness or more generally understood as universe. And Ki meaning life energy or the energy of all living things.
Reiki is a spiritually guided life energy that can only be channeled by a practitioner who has been attuned from a Reiki Master. Reiki is sometimes referred to as "laying on hands." Reiki is safe to receive and is complementary to medical and psychological treatment.
Reiki is known for improving the results of conventional treatments through the reduction of stress and negative energy. Reiki can shorten healing time, reduce and eliminate pain, reduce stress, create a feeling of happiness, heal emotional trauma and improve memory. It can also be used to clear the aura or the energy in a home or office.
Reiki sessions last 45-90 minutes depending on the individual. All sessions are in a relaxed setting and can be given in a lying down or seated position. Those receiving Reiki can remain fully clothed and do not need to be touched to receive the healing energy.
Usui/Karuna Reiki fees:
- 45 minutes - $50.00
- 60 minutes - $75.00
- 90 minutes - $110.00
Reiki is of a spiritual nature and has no religious affiliation or dogma. Reiki is not dependent upon any belief system and will work for anyone, including pets and clearing and balancing of homes and offices.
