Transpersonal Health, LLC - A New Path to Healing
Meditation & Visualization

Meditation is not new to Western culture, it has merely gained a new perspective. A perspective heavily influenced by Eastern Religion and Philosophy. For many of us our introduction to meditation came through childhood prayer and organized religion. Prayer allowed us time to slow down, close our eyes, take a breath and kneel or sit in reverence. In these moments we were able to express gratitude and honor for God's blessings. We were also able to ask God to answer our prayers of need, patience, healing or comfort.

People still pray today and this is clearly a form of meditation. However, others have found new ways to honor God through Eastern influenced meditations and mantras. At Transpersonal Health meditation is taught for two reasons; one being that it has been scientifically proven to lower blood pressure, reduce stress and bring mental clarity. The second, is that it is a practice in which an individual can strengthen their relationship with the divine, open their mind to its higher consciousness and purify their whole being through the increased vibrational energy of positive thought and sound.

Meditation is a mindfulness practice and like any other mindful practice it takes time, commitment and desire to learn. It also takes time to discover your own way of doing the practice so that it is beneficial to you. For example, swimming is a mindful practice and no matter how great the teacher or how well they describe the techniques unless you get in the water you will never learn how to keep yourself afloat without experiencing the water for yourself. And you may have to try many different types of water to find the one that you can navigate successfully. For instance just because you can swim in a warm pool does not mean you can swim in the English channel.

There are many different forms and techniques of meditation and you must discover which one is going to work best for you. At Transpersonal Health it has been my goal to study with many teachers and mentors from many walks of life and religious backgrounds to find the meditation that suits me. I have found that my personal practice continues to evolve regularly and some days a traditional prayer is best and on other days hours in meditation feel better. The key remains that daily practice is essential.

It is my goal to create an experience in which the meditator no matter the experience level always feels welcome, at peace and in comfort of friends. The meditations I offer vary and you can request to learn specific meditations. Some of the more popular meditations I offer are for clearing and balancing the chakras, Kundalini, stress management, grounding and visualization.

Visualization is a technique in which an image is created to bring about a quality or experience in order to move into or away from what your wanting. For instance, if you are wanting to let go of a burden then the visualization will take you through a process of vision that has you experiencing letting go and moving away from it and into a place of peace and freedom. If you are wanting comfort and peace a vision of beauty, tranquilty and care are then created for you to rest in and experience the quality of that place and this is all done through the activation of your third eye.
